Honolulu Civic Auditorium. There were five matches on this wrestling card, including the main event LumberJack Match between Jim Hady and Johnny Barend. The opening match featured Ripper Collins going against "OddJob" Tosh Togo of "GoldFinger" fame. The match went the full 15 minutes and ended in a draw. Hans Mortier vs Dean Higuchi The next match saw the Dutchman Hans Mortier battling former Mr. Hawaii Dean Higuchi in this one fall match. Mortier defeated Higuchi by way of a submission with a Claw Hold. Mortier slams Higuchi's head into the canvas. Dean Higuchi about to deliver a modified Back Breaker on Hans Mortier. |
Higuchi carries Mortier around the corner, looking for a place to slam him. Steve Stanlee vs The Masked Executioner This 2 out of 3 fall match was a televised match with with a television curfew time limit. In the first fall, the Executioner defeated Stanlee by head butting him after slipping a hard foreign object into his mask. Steve Stanlee took the second fall with a Bulldog Headlock. The deciding fall and the match went to the Masked Executioner with his devastating Claw Hold. Steve Stanlee tries to remove the Executioner's mask. Jim Hady vs Johnny Barend- LumberJack Match
Jim Hady defeated Johnny Barend in 13:00. In this type of match, other wrestlers were stationed outside the ring. Whenever either Johnny Barend or Jim Hady is thrown out of the ring, the outside wrestlers will grab him and throw him back into the ring. During the match, Jim Hady threw Barend out of the ring right where Ripper Collins was sitting and the Ripper attacked Barend. Barend then ran towards the dressingroom but he met the giant Hawaiian, Curtis Iaukea, who had just returned from England in time for the match. Barend ran back into the ring and turned around to look at the 360 lb Hawaiian. Hady came from behind and caught Barend in a Back Slide (Iron Cross) for the pin and the match. Hady lands a Haymaker on Barend's jaw. Jim Hady takes a breather after throwing Johnny Barend out of the ring. Curtis Iaukea, in dress shirt and tie, steps up in the corner to rattle Johnny Barend. Hady surprises Barend with a Back Slide to win the fall and match. |
